• Chickpeas 1 cup (soaked for 4-5 hrs)
  • Parsley 1/4 cup or dry parsley 2 tsp
  • Chopped spring onions 1 cup
  • Chopped coriander 1/2 cup
  • Green chilly 1 tsp
  • Garlic 5-6 cloves
  • Jeera 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds (til) 2 tsp
  • Sattu 1/2 cup
  • Salt
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tsp

Directions

Step 1: Mix all ingredients (chickpeas, onion, coriander sattu, and all masalas) in a jar grind it well.

Step 2: Keep the consistency thick add little water if required)

Step 3: Add baking soda to the mixture.

Step 4: Make small balls cook them with little oil in an appam vessel on both sides till it becomes golden brown. Or you can bake them in the oven at 200 degrees for around 10 minutes.

Step 5: Serve them with hummus dip or hung curd. Enjoy this falafel without any guilt as they are made with very little oil.
