Ingredients
  • Beetroot puree 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour or jowar flour 1 cup
  • Sattu 1/2 cup
  • Spring onions chopped 1/2 cup
  • Corriander chopped 1/4 cup
  • Ginger 1 tsp
  • Green chilly 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 2 tsp
  • Kalonji seeds 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Ghee 1 tsp
  • Salt

Directions

Step 1: Chop beet into small pieces and make a smooth puree.

Step 2: Take a metal (Kansa) vessel (optional) to make a soft dough. Add flour, beetroot puree, sattu, spring onion, coriander, green chilly paste Ginger paste, 1 tsp Sesame seeds, and oil knead well if required add little water.

Step 3: Roll them into thick roti sprinkle some kalonji seeds or Sesame seeds and some chopped coriander on top.

Step 4: Cook them well on an iron tawa.

Step 5: Enjoy this pink thepla with home set curd and green chutney.
