Ingredients
  • Makhana 100 gms
  • Peanut 150 gms
  • Pomegranate 1/2 cup
  • Raw mango 1/2 cup
  • Tomato 1 medium chopped
  • Onion 1 medium chopped
  • Oil 1tsp

    • For green chutney
    • Coriander 50 gms
    • Lemon juice 1tsp
    • Green chill 1 tsp
    • Mint handful
    • Ginger 1tsp
    • Garlic 1 tsp
    • Salt

      For sweet chutney
    • Dates paste 5 tsp
    • Tamarind paste 2 tsp
    • Red chilli 1/2 tsp
    • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
    • Jeera powder 1/4 tsp
    • Salt as per taste



Directions

Step 1: Add 1/2 tsp of oil in a big pan add salt red chilli and makhana, roast well till it becomes crispy. Keep aside. Let it cool completely.
Step 2: Do the same with peanut.
Step 3: Take a small jar to add a handful of raw peanut grind it well. Add fresh coriander, garlic, ginger, mint, green chilli, lemon juice, salt and little water grind it well. Make sure Chutney need to be thick.
Step 4: For sweet chutney, soak dates and tamarind into lukewarm water, for a few minutes. Remove seeds.
Step 5: Take a small jar to add dates and tamarind pulp add salt, turmeric, jeera powder and red chilli powder grind it well into thick chutney.
Step 6: Finally Take a big bowl to add roasted makhana, peanut, chopped onion, tomato, pomegranate, raw mango, green chutney and sweet chutney.
Step 7: mix it well. Garnish with some fresh coriander. (Consume immediately).
Step 8: Enjoy chatpatta makhana bhel. A yummy and healthy option for evening snacks.
